The Indiana Teaching Certiﬁcate – Exceptional Learners Mild Intervention program provides an 18 credit hour post-baccalaureate course of study for teachers seeking to obtain an Indiana’s mild intervention (i.e., special education) license to serve the mild/moderate special needs student population. Candidates completing the 18 credit hour program gain content and pedagogical content knowledge related to professional teaching standards for serving students with mild/moderate special needs. Upon successful completion of all course work and the state-required licensure examination, candidates are eligible for a P-12 mild intervention teaching license in the state of Indiana.
