The Indiana Teaching Certificate - Exceptional Learners Mild Intervention program provides an 18-credit-hour post-baccalaureate course of study for teachers seeking to obtain an Indiana's mild intervention license to serve the mild/moderate special education student population. Candidates completing the Indiana teacher certificate program gain content and pedagogical content knowledge related to professional teaching standards for serving students with mild/moderate special needs as an intervention specialist. Upon successful completion of all course work and the state-required licensure examination, candidates are eligible for an Indiana alternative teaching certification with a P-12 mild intervention teaching state license.
