Important Dates To Consider

We strongly encourage students to apply and be admitted as early as possible, keeping in mind several important dates for students seeking to start in the fall:

November 1

To be among the first students to receive a financial aid offer

March 1

To be eligible to sign up for Admitted Student Weekend (first chance to register for classes!)

June 1

To be eligible to attend our final summer registration events on campus, jumpstarting your transition to becoming a Wildcat

 

Admission Requirements

  • Academic requirements: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6 on a 4.0 scale (freshman student) or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (transfer student)*
  • Personal requirements: Applicants must agree to abide by the University's community guidelines and behavioral expectations
  • Required documents: In addition to a complete application, applicants are required to submit official transcripts from the current or most recent high school or all colleges/universities attended (for transfer student)**

* If your academic performance falls below one or more of the listed requirements, an admissions counselor will request additional information regarding your academic history.

** International students have additional requirements. Homeschooled students must submit a transcript with GPA on a 4.0 scale and signed by a parent.

For many families, the cost of an education can be just as important as the admission decision.

At IWU, we're committed to providing clear financial aid offers that are timely and as complete as possible to our admitted students. Learn more about financial aid at IWU.

We also go the extra mile to help you with scholarship opportunities by intentionally crafting the application to help us pre-qualify you for additional scholarship opportunities at IWU. Don't stress about missing scholarship opportunities; we'll save you a headache and invite you directly to apply to specific scholarships.
