Empowering Kingdom Diversity

As an expression of IWU-Marion’s commitment to Kingdom diversity and belonging, the Intercultural & Global Office is dedicated to having Christ at the centercelebrating Kingdom diversity, cultivating belonging, creating opportunities, and fostering courageous engagement that exemplifies Christ’s commandment to love all humankind.

This is accomplished through academic support, student services, and co-curricular programs. We envision a vibrant, welcoming community shaped by a culturally responsive curriculum and campus experiences that embody our commitment to the multicultural Kingdom of God. Motivated by Christ's love, we welcome all people and intentionally foster a sense of belonging in the spirit of Jesus' teachings.
How We Live Out Our Values

God is the author of all diversity, and it is through Him that we find our direction. His church is a vibrant reflection of a diverse Kingdom, embracing every individual. Matthew 6:33 & Revelation 7:9

By engaging in cultural programming, we join hands with God to honor and celebrate the unique differences that enrich the Body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27
Through our distinct spaces, The Lounge, and The SPOT, we promote intentional community and fellowship among students. Psalms 133:1
We strive to empower all students to achieve excellence through holistic care and support that nurtures their individual needs. Proverbs 3:27
With humility and kindness, we seek to engage and learn from one another’s struggles, to love one another better, and embrace the IWU mission of Kingdom diversity. Colossians 4:6 & Ephesians 4:2
IWU, in covenant with God’s reconciling work and in accordance with Biblical principles of our historic Wesleyan tradition, commits to build a community that reflects Kingdom diversity. We will foster an intentional environment for living, teaching, and learning, which exhibits honor, respect, and dignity. Acknowledging visible or invisible differences, our community authentically values each member’s earthly and eternal worth. We refute ignorance and isolation and embrace deliberate and courageous engagement that exhibits Christ’s commandment to love all humankind.

We empower students, staff, and faculty to carry out Kingdom Diversity
