  • Requirements

    Admission Requirements

    1. Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
    2. Official transcripts from all previous college or university studies at regionally accredited colleges or universities or at an institution accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
    3. Prior completion of at least 60 transferable credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university or from an institution accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education is required before starting the core program. A maximum of 40 credit hours may be earned through the assessed learning process toward the required 60.
    4. A minimum of two years of significant full-time work experience beyond high school.

    Graduation Requirements

    1. Completion of 124 credit hours.
    2. Completion of the required core courses with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
    3. Overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
    4. Completion of 30 hours of Liberal Arts, including the following:
      1. 3 credit hours in Biblical Literature.
      2. 3 credit hours in Philosophy/Religion/Biblical Literature.
      3. 9 credit hours in English/Composition/Speech/Literature.
      4. 6 credit hours in Social Sciences.
      5. 3 credit hours in Math.
      6. 3 credit hours in Science.
      7. 3 credit hours in Fine Arts/Foreign Language.
      Core courses that fall into Liberal Arts categories may not be used to fulfill both the core requirement and the Liberal Arts requirement.
    5. Payment of all tuition and fees.
    6. Those students pursuing the HR specialization must complete all of the additional specialization courses at IWU. SHRM guidelines also require the following coursework (which may be completed at IWU or transferred in):
      1. Finance course at the 100 level or equivalent.
      2. Economics course at the 200 level or equivalent.
      3. Statistics course at the 100 level or equivalent.
      4. Business Law course at the 200 level or equivalent. 

    Management Minor

    1. The minor in Management is available to Indiana, Kentucky, and online students who are pursuing a non-Management bachelor's degree through IWU.
    2. Six credit hours may be earned through the transfer of courses from an accredited institution, through credit by examination, or through an IWU Assessed Learning Portfolio. The remaining courses must be earned at IWU.
    3. Individual courses may not count toward both a minor and a major at the bachelor's level.
