Requirements
Field Experience Requirements
All SA candidates must complete two three-credit hour internships, six credits total, over a six-month period with a qualified, onsite mentor. Candidates should anticipate paying additional clinical experience fees during EDL 612 and EDL 625 to remunerate the services of a mentor.
All candidates must secure a principal-mentor for each internship course at the school in which they are currently leading or teaching. The mentor administrator must have a principal's license and be able to attend scheduled video conferences with the internship professor. The principal-mentor will work with the candidate throughout each course.

Any information obtained may be considered by IWU in its decision whether or not to admit an applicant, to permit his or her continuance in a program, or to recommend him/her for licensure.
