The goal of Accessibility and Accommodation Services at Indiana Wesleyan University is to work cooperatively with students to help them reach their maximum academic, social, and personal potential. This is achieved by integrating legal expectations, Indiana Wesleyan's standards of service, and Christ-like principles. The Director of Accessibility and Accommodations is a trained professional responsible for determining accommodation eligibility and coordinating office services for students with disabilities. The Director works with the students, faculty, and staff to coordinate a plan of reasonable accommodations that allow for equal access to all areas of university life. Accessibility and Accommodation Services through the Center for Student Success are offered to all Indiana Wesleyan University Students on campus and online.
Accommodations at IWU
Any request for accommodations will be considered. For an accommodation to be granted, it must be supported by documentation and deemed reasonable. Reasonable means that it meets the student's needs and does not alter any core components of the university's courses or academic curriculum.

Once accepted to the university, you may apply for accommodations online.
If your provider requests a form from IWU, please use the Verification of Disability form (below) as documentation of your disability, or provide us documentation that includes a diagnosis and the accommodations your provider recommends. We also accept IEPs and 504 plans as complete documentation.

Admissions
Admission decisions are made without regard to disabilities. All prospective students are expected to present academic credentials that meet or exceed the minimum requirements for admissions.
Prospective students with disabilities are not required to identify themselves to the Admissions Office or Accessibility and Accommodations Services. However, those interested in receiving academic accommodations are encouraged to meet with or contact Accessibility and Accommodations Services as early as possible to allow for a review of documentation and the formulation of an accommodation plan.
