How to Register
If you are not a current student, you must complete an Unclassified Application. This application must be sent in a minimum of three (3) weeks in advance of the date on which the elective course will start. This time is needed to process your application. Thank you!
If you are already an IWU student, please contact your academic adviser to register for elective courses.
Who are you and where do we send your books?
- Use the name by which you are registered with the University.
- List a street address. UPS will not deliver books to a P.O. Box.
- Include your daytime phone number and e-mail address, if available.
What class do you want to take?
- Refer to the Course Descriptions and the Locations and Dates.
- Pick a class you have not taken before.
- Your academic adviser will help you register for the classes that you need.
WITHDRAWAL/REFUND
Official withdrawal from a course must be completed in order to avoid receiving a failing grade and being charged. E-mail registration.change@indwes.edu to withdraw before the last class session. Simply not attending class, or just notifying the instructor or other students, does not withdraw you from the class. Students who do not withdraw before the end of a class will receive an "F."
If a student withdraws two (2) weeks before the course begins, all payments will be refunded. If a student withdraws less than two (2) weeks before the course begins, a $50 processing fee will be assessed. All outstanding balances must be cleared before future registrations will be approved.
Students who withdraw after the first class session will be assessed 10% of the course tuition, and the book fee. Students who withdraw after the second class session (or after the seventh day of an online course) will not be eligible for a refund.
Withdrawal from a course may affect a student's financial aid. Contact the Financial Aid Office at 800-621-8667, ext. 2516 or apsfinaid@indwes.edu for information.
DEADLINES
IWU policy mandates that students may not enter or re-enter a class that is in progress, is over, or is within seven days of starting. Thus, it is important to be sure your registration information reaches us before the three-week deadline. Adjustments to your registration (changes or cancellation of changes) must be completed and approved seven (7) days before the class start date.
Class size is limited. Tuition must be paid by the deadline date to ensure your seat in the class. You will be withdrawn from the class if tuition is not received by the deadline date. If you are using Financial Aid for electives, REGISTER EARLY! Because financial aid processing takes time, your registration may be delayed and cause you to miss the class.
THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CLASS START DATE.
