Choosing to attend college at Indiana Wesleyan University – Marion, Ind. Campus is an investment in your future and impacts your career, values, and spiritual formation. Financial Aid helps students at IWU make informed choices about investing in their future.

Indiana Wesleyan University is dedicated to character, scholarship, and leadership. As part of this commitment to our students, the IWU – Marion, Ind. Campus invests $20 million annually in grants and scholarships. Additionally, each student receives an Academic Award to honor his or her dedication to studies and to symbolize our institutional commitment to the future and success of every student. The Academic Award serves as the starting point for the overall financial aid offer from IWU. Each student is considered individually for additional aid opportunities based on established criteria for each scholarship and grant.

Academic Awards: Freshman

Incoming Freshman receiving the President’s or Dean’s scholarship will have the opportunity to compete for an additional $2,000 annual scholarship. Eligible students will have more details sent directly to them from the Office of Admissions. Please note that there is a deadline to be considered for the additional $2,000 scholarship.

$15,000 Selected as an outstanding Hispanic/Latino student in the National Hispanic Recognition Program with a high school GPA of 3.50 or above National Hispanic Recognition
$11,000 4.0 and above high school GPA President's
$10,000 3.75 to 3.99 high school GPA Dean's 
$8,000 3.4 to 3.749 high school GPA Faculty
$6,000 2.8 to 3.39 high school GPA Achievement
$4,000 2.79 and below high school GPA Recognition


Scholarships and Grants are for IWU-Marion students meeting eligibility requirements.

Academic Awards: Transfers

Transfer Students at the IWU – Marion, Ind. campus are a valued part of our community and receive a similar investment and commitment in their future. Based upon their previous college work, students who are at least a semester removed from high school at the point of admission and who have completed at least 12 college credits will have their academic award calculated based upon the grid below. Students with less than 12 credits will have their scholarship calculated based upon their high school merits.
