The community of Kingdom-minded people.
My favorite things to do on campus are grab coffee at McConn, connect with the cross country team, and hear bits of conversations about faith as I walk across campus.
I enjoy working with students, hearing their stories, and talking with them about what they are looking for in life. It’s a lot of fun showing them the great things about this place and exploring if IWU is a great fit for them.
The community is unique and special. It pursues the goodness of the Gospel and students enjoy growing together in their faith.
The cheetah. It gets to sleep and lounge around with its friends most of the day, eat a lot of food, and at the end of the day run fast. I want that in my life.
Playing games with my kids, running, reading books on the Kingdom of God, eating good donuts, talking about Tom Brady, and teasing my wife (then running for my life).
Don’t worry about trying to find “the one right college.” In all honesty, there are probably a number that could work out well for you. Instead, find one that feels like a good fit and that feels like home. You’re not “missing God’s plan” or messing it up, so enjoy the freedom He has given you. Understand that since you can’t know the future, you’re not expected to. Breathe, make what seems like a wise choice (not a perfect choice), and find a place that feels like it could be home.
