Passport to Culture (PTC) presents a variety of cultures in a genuine way that focuses on education, diversity, equity, and justice through art, performances, food, and conversation. It is a community-wide event that includes booths representing different countries and cultures, authentic ethnic foods, and cultural entertainment as a gateway to deeper learning and understanding of God’s humanity and the world.

Passport to Culture’s educational mission is to cultivate deeper understanding and respect for global and domestic diversity in the context of God’s message to “act justly and love mercy and to walk humbly” with Him (Micah 6:8).

Share a Culture

There are plenty of ways to become involved with Passport to Culture, however hosting a booth is what we encourage most people to do. In order to host a booth, you must be both knowledgeable and passionate about the culture for which you are representing at your booth. Booth hosting is a great way to pass along your love and understanding of a culture that is unfamiliar to the general population at IWU. If booth hosting is not something that appeals to you, volunteering to help in set up/tear down or preparing a cultural performance are other ways that you can get involved with Passport to Culture.
