Award amounts:$602 - $5,550 for academic year 2012-2013
Application process:File the FAFSA, preferably by March 10, for the following fall semester, although eligibility for this fund continues regardless of the FAFSA filing date.
Eligibility requirements:Demonstrate high financial need
Renewal requirements:Eligibility is determined annually
EFC eligibility range:0 - 4,995 for 2012-2013 academic year
Enrollment requirements:
  • 12 or more credit hours required per term for full award
  • 9 - 11 credit hours required for 3/4-time award in some cases
  • 6 - 8 credit hours required for 1/2-time award in some cases
  • 1 - 5 credit hours required for less-than-1/2-time award in some cases
Enrollment changes may impact Pell eligibility.
Grade-level eligibility:First undergraduate degree only. Pell Grant funding cannot be used for graduate class expenses or subsequent undergraduate studies after the student earns his or her first bachelor's degree.
