Undergraduate Certificate - General Studies
Are you ready to begin your college education, but not sure which program is right for you? Earning a certificate in General Studies is a great way to begin building a foundation for a new career path or degree program.
The Indiana Wesleyan University General Studies Certificate program affords students the opportunity to acquire a block of general education credit hours in the specific content areas of English, Math, Fine Arts, Psychology, and Speech Communication. Completion of these courses will fulfill requirements in five different categories pertaining to general education. The certificate itself serves as documentation of this accomplishment, as does the transcript notation.
By developing essential skills and acquiring knowledge within the full spectrum of coursework, students completing the General Studies Certificate will be equipped to move forward with a solid academic foundation to pursue their academic goals.
The General Studies Certificate program is available to students currently in associate and bachelor programs, and also to students who are registered as unclassified. Degree-seeking students must earn at least nine of the 15 certificate credit hours at IWU. Unclassified students must complete all 15 credit hours through IWU to be eligible for the certificate.
