After the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program was launched by the DeVoe School of Business, Technology & Leadership in the fall of 2019, it was recognized and accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
After ensuring that HLC accreditation was in place, plans were developed for the DBA program to pursue initial accreditation by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). ACBSP requires all programs to be in existence for two years, have graduates, and ensure that operational, academic, assessment, and other continuous quality processes are in place before making application to start the official self-study process.
In light of these expectations from ACBSP, the academic leadership in the College of Adult and Professional Studies supports the ongoing planning and implementation of important academic and program continuous quality improvement processes to ensure readiness to apply for ACBSP accreditation. The pursuit of ACBSP accreditation was and continues to be on the planning roadmap for the program. Current students and program alumni please note that if a student graduates prior to DeVoe School of Business, Technology & Leadership receiving ACBSP accreditation for the DBA program, the student will be grandfathered in under the accredited program once accreditation is received.
If you have questions about the status of ACBSP accreditation efforts for the DBA program, please contact DBusAdmin@indwes.edu.
