Tuition and fees for prerequisites and required elective courses are in addition to the charges shown on the program cost sheet. Program Requirements

The admission requirements are as follows:

  • Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
  • Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • A signed FERPA Release Form.
  • A criminal history background check that meets school guidelines.
  • Competency-based education candidates must successful complete the student Education CBE Orientation course.

The following graduation requirements must be met:

  • Completion of 90 semester hours.
  • Completion of 30 hours of general education requirements as specified (See the General Education Requirements).
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Completion of the required major courses with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Successfully complete all Clinical Experience requirements associated with the program.
  • Provide passing scores for all required state licensure content and pedagogy examinations.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Education with a major in Secondary Mathematics, candidates will be recommended for a 5-12 Educator Licensure in the state of Indiana. Candidates seeking licensure in states other than Indiana bear the responsibility to determine whether completion of the program will meet the academic and assessment requirements of the state in which licensure is sought.
