The Story of Everything: New Film Exploring the Science, Origins, and Existence of God Reflects the Heart of STEM at IWU

Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) is helping bring attention to an important upcoming documentary film, “The Story of Everything,” which will be shown in theaters nationwide from April 30 through May 6.

As part of a broader effort to engage meaningful questions at the intersection of Christian faith and academics, IWU is sharing the film with its alumni and extended community. “The Story of Everything” explores the origins and structure of the universe, examining evidence from cosmology, physics, and molecular biology that points to order and complexity. In other words, intentional design.

The film takes viewers on a cinematic journey from the vastness of the cosmos to the intricacy of life at the cellular level. Along the way, it highlights the precise laws that govern the universe and the patterns found throughout nature, inviting audiences to consider deeper questions of purpose and meaning. Featuring insights from scientists and scholars, the documentary engages ongoing conversations about science, origins, and the existence of God.

For the IWU community, these themes reflect the university’s belief that science and faith are complementary, that God is the creator and sustainer of all that we see, and that understanding the natural world as He designed it is a vital element of the Christian’s spiritual and intellectual growth. IWU’s strong STEM programs pursue these inquiries with innovation and agility.

“The Story of Everything” will be available in select theaters for a limited engagement from April 30 through May 6. IWU encourages viewers to see the film, explore the ideas it presents, and carefully consider the world God designed for us and their place within it.
