A.S. Creative Digital Media

The Associate of Science degree with a major in Creative Digital Media provides students with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to create digital media solutions based on effective communication strategies. Students will use industry-standard software and tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud, to engage in real-world, hands-on experiences with still images, motion video, social media, and web design. Throughout the program, students will develop professional portfolios that demonstrate their understanding and application of communication principles and implementation of digital media solutions. Skill-based courses in the program are designed to meet the needs of students who have no prior experience with digital media, as well as students who have some experience. Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to earn industry certifications and seek entry-level careers in marketing, advertising, product development, web design and development, public relations, video production, and visual communication. Additionally, the skills and knowledge acquired through this program provide an excellent foundation for students desiring to continue their education at IWU to complete a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, especially degrees with majors in Communication and Marketing.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. Create various digital media deliverables.
  2. Apply effective communication principles, theories, and strategies to digital media solutions.
