Biography
Dr. Tim Beuthin has served in the Division of Leadership and Followership Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University since 2006. Prior to his role at IWU, he was on the pastoral staff at several Free Methodist congregations, was Dean of Students and faculty member at Spring Arbor University, was General Secretary of Higher Education for the Free Methodist Church of North America, and Education Director at the Lilly-funded Center for Congregation in Indianapolis, Indiana. For over 40 years he has served as a liaison and consultant for ecclesiastical and educational institutions at the local and national level.
Dr. Beuthin’s research interests include leader development, spiritual formation, and ethics in leadership. He has published or co-published on student retention in higher education, faith integration in the university classroom, servant leadership and emotional intelligence, and authentic and ethical leadership in the Wesleyan tradition. He has made conference presentations at the state and national levels on moral imagination, character and virtue, faith integration, and doctoral education. He facilitates courses in personal leadership development and ethics and leadership.
