Steven Keil, M.A.

Steven Keil is the director of Indiana Wesleyan University’s Center for Applied Ethics and AI, where he helps leaders, organizations, and communities navigate technological change responsibly and with clarity. Keil is a strategist and program builder with nearly two decades of experience advising leaders and developing initiatives across government, research, and international organizations.

Before joining Indiana Wesleyan University, he held positions spanning public policy, national security, foreign affairs, and research. He served in the United States Senate, was selected as a Robert Bosch Fellow serving in the German Parliament, led research and policy initiatives at a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, and advised senior leaders at the U.S. Department of Defense.

Keil earned his graduate degree from Georgetown University and undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota. He is a recipient of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service and the GMF Marshall Award for Excellence. He was also a Fellow at the C.S. Lewis Institute in Washington, D.C., and serves on the board of Leavened Lives, a D.C.-based nonprofit focused on the integration of faith and work.
