Dr. Rob Thompson is Associate Professor in the Division of Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University. He has over 25 years of experience as an administrator in Student Development and has been a full-time faculty member for over fifteen years. Dr. Thompson was the recipient of the Don L. Boender Award for Distinguished Service from the Association for Christians in Student Development.  has been a member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), Association of College Personnel Administrators (ACPA), Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International. (ACUHO-I). Dr. Thompson served as the Chair for the Research Committee for SWACUHO as well as on the host committee for ACPA (registration committee) and ACSD (Program Chair) National Conferences.

Dr. Thompson has spoken and presented workshops and keynote addresses at numerous professional conferences on State, Regional, and National levels as well as being a frequent guest speaker on campus. His topics include servant leadership, identity development, campus ecology and its impact on identity development.
