Rev. Paul Garverick

Biography

Rev. Paul E. Garverick currently serves as Assistant Dean at Wesley Seminary after serving as Director for Religion Programs for Indiana Wesleyan University’s National & Global Campus for 15 years. Prior to his time at IWU and Wesley Seminary, Paul invested 17 years in pastoral ministry in The Wesleyan Church, 4 years in Buffalo, NY and 13 years in Dayton, OH.

Dr. Garverick has a passion to grow in Christ and help others to do the same. While in Pastoral Ministry, he mentored four entry level ministers and two ministry student interns. In addition, he served on the Boards of Ministerial Development for the Western Ohio and Greater Ohio Districts of the Wesleyan Church. In the newly merged Greater Ohio District, he served as Chair of the Board of Ministerial Development and utilized with his team assessment tools for approximately 90 ministerial students who developed personal growth and development plans. While serving at IWU and Wesley Seminary, he has personally and individually mentored over a half-dozen individual students, plus individual ministers, a local County Sheriff’s Department Chaplain, and lead pastor of an influential local church. Dr. Garverick has habitually engaged in sharing and accountability partnerships since his time in Seminary in the late 1980s. He also initiated and engaged a discipleship group designed to multiply every 18 months.
