David King has been working in the social work field for 30 years providing services in the church, community, and private practice settings. Mr. King completed the MSW at the University of Kentucky and a Master's in Christian Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan. Over the course of his career, Mr. King has worked with children and families, the developmentally disabled, the chronically mentally ill and clients with co-occurring substance use disorders. Mr. King has also been teaching social work at the graduate level since 2009 and is currently completing a doctorate in Social Work Administration from Walden University.


Mr. Kings has published articles regarding improving outcomes for youth with severe emotional disturbance and community-based systems of care. Mr. King's current research interests include the impact of worldview on ethical decision making in social work.
