Our graduates provide essential healing and hope to the people groups around them. We offer degree programs in the social and behavioral sciences, ministry, and leadership. The School of Service and Leadership is a Christ-centered community of care that loves one another, listens to one another, and learns with and from one another. We seek to bring glory to God in the delivery of higher education as we discover and participate in God's plan of redemption and transformation.
The School of Service and Leadership seeks to empower graduates to do what Christ called all His followers to do: serve others with wisdom, humility, grace, and compassion.
IWU offers a wide array of programs, allowing students at all levels of study to find courses that meet their needs, from short-term learning options like certificates all the way up to a PhD in Organizational Leadership. Several programs in the School of Service and Leadership enable students to accelerate speed to completion by earning advanced standing credit from one degree program that can be applied toward an advanced degree program (e.g., bachelor’s to master’s degree). Our generous transfer policy means that eligible students may be able to enter a program at IWU in advanced standing, shortening their time to degree completion and saving them money on their education. IWU’s partnerships with other institutions also provide pathways to bachelor’s degree completion, resulting in an easier transition to IWU.
