    One of the overriding instincts in human nature is the desire to make a difference in the world. Just about everyone has the urge to positively influence their surroundings for the benefit of society. Many people choose to perform this service in the field of criminal justice. Individuals with the drive and ambition for this type of work can be seen in many arenas. Some are police officers, others become attorneys with special training in the criminal justice field, and still others benefit society by serving as probation officers who work to assist ex-offenders in starting their new lives.

    Indiana Wesleyan University’s Bachelor of Science with a major in Criminal Justice degree program is designed to open opportunities and positions of leadership to those desiring to make this world a safer and more secure place for their fellow citizens. It is a need that is not likely to diminish in the foreseeable future, making this a growing and secure employment market for decades to come.
