Bachelor's in Biblical Literature and Languages

The Biblical Literature and Languages major enables students to relate the Christian Scriptures to life, whether in a ministry setting or another profession. Studying biblical languages is crucial for a deeper understanding of the Scriptures. A degree in Biblical Literature and Languages will nurture your love for God’s word and provide a firm foundation for a lifetime of Scripture study. At IWU, the Bible isn’t just an ancient text to be examined; it’s the living word of God, through which we encounter God’s transformative Spirit. You won’t merely learn about the Bible, you’ll encounter God in fresh ways through deep study of God’s word. Scripture will come alive as you study deeply in community with your classmates and learn from experts in the Old and New Testaments.
