The purpose of Grandparents Day is to pay tribute to the special relationships that exist between grandchildren and grandparents, or those who have filled that role in their lives. It is a celebration of the family relationships with which God has blessed us. It is also a day for grandparents to see firsthand what college life is like for their grandchild.

WHAT HAPPENS AT GRANDPARENTS DAY?

Grandparents will attend a Continental Breakfast; learn more about IWU during the morning Welcome Session, attend Chapel with their grandchild, and enjoy a Special Musical Performance by IWU students.

Free time activities may include:

  • Family Photos
  • Lunch
  • Guided Bus Tour of Campus
  • Visit Residence Halls
  • Enjoy McConn Coffee Company
  • Shop at the IWU Bookstore
  • Sporting Events
  • Theatre Productions

By providing student and grandparent information we will be able to send invitations so no one misses out on this special day!
