Indiana Wesleyan University recognized as 2026–2027 Military Friendly School and Military Spouse Friendly School

Marion, Ind. (Mar. 31, 2026) — Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) has been recognized as a 2026–2027 Military Friendly School, earning Gold status, and as a Military Spouse Friendly School with designated status by Military Friendly®, a privately owned rating program operated by Viqtory Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business founded in 2001.

The Military Friendly® designation is awarded to institutions that demonstrate strong outcomes and effective support for veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. IWU’s Gold status represents the highest tier among standard designations, with only the Top Ten ranking above it nationally. The Military Spouse Friendly recognition similarly places IWU among institutions that demonstrate strong support for military families.

“IWU is honored to receive Military Friendly Gold status and Military Spouse Friendly designation,” said Jacob Estrada, director of military engagement at IWU. “These recognitions affirm our commitment to creating a Christ-centered environment that supports and empowers military students and their families as they pursue their educational and professional goals.”

These designations are valid for the 2026–2027 academic year and require annual reapplication, reinforcing continued excellence and accountability in serving military communities.

IWU’s Military Friendly® status will be featured in the Military Friendly® Schools Guide, a widely distributed publication available at military installations worldwide, and included in the Military Friendly® School Search database, a key resource for prospective military students comparing institutions.

By maintaining high standards of service, accessibility, and student support, IWU continues to strengthen its role as a trusted institution for military-affiliated learners seeking an education grounded in character, scholarship, and leadership.
