Indiana Wesleyan University announces strategic partnership with National Christian Foundation to launch donor-advised fund program

Marion, Indiana (March 16, 2026) — Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) has announced a strategic partnership with the National Christian Foundation (NCF) to launch a donor-advised fund program that provides IWU supporters with expanded and flexible options for charitable giving.

Founded by Christian financial leaders Ron Blue, Larry Burkett and Terry Parker, NCF is the nation’s largest Christian donor-advised fund provider and one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations. With decades of experience in designing and facilitating charitable giving tools and strategies, NCF helps donors maximize their impact while navigating charitable stewardship opportunities.

“IWU is thrilled to launch a donor-advised fund program through the NCF,” said John Jones, vice president for university advancement at IWU. “This partnership creates a powerful avenue for kingdom-minded generosity that will invest in students, strengthen communities and impact the world for Christ.”

Donor advised funds allow donors to give more generously and strategically with both cash and non-cash assets, streamlining their charitable giving while increasing impact and tax efficiency. NCF will provide full administrative management of IWU’s donor-advised funds that are both faith-aligned and values based.

The launch of the program reflects IWU’s commitment to equipping donors with strategic tools that respond to the evolving financial and regulatory landscape. Donor-advised funds offer long-term planning benefits, enabling donors to steward their resources wisely, invest for growth, and give strategically to the charities and causes they care about most.

“We are excited to partner with IWU to provide donors with tools that make generosity both strategic and transformational,” said Kyle DeFur, president of NCF Indiana. “This collaboration allows families to invest in a university that is shaping Christ-centered leaders while also supporting the broader ministries they care about. Together, we hope to inspire intentional, long-term giving that strengthens Christian higher education and multiplies kingdom impact for generations.”

By leveraging NCF’s established philanthropic expertise, IWU seeks to expand opportunities for engagement while ensuring donors receive high-quality service and stewardship support aligned with the university’s Christ-centered mission of character, scholarship and leadership.
