Overview of the Online Certificate in Criminal Justice Program

The Indiana Wesleyan University Criminal Justice certificate program affords students the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge in the field of criminal justice. In addition to an overview of criminology, criminal justice and the psychology of personality, this program provides specific emphasis on alcohol, drug and other substance abuse education and corrections in a way that only a Christian university can. These emphases can be of great benefit to people in social services, security management, many types of compassionate ministries, and other professions and services. The certificate itself serves as documentation of this accomplishment, as does the transcript notation.

Now is the perfect time to earn your Criminal Justice certificate online or in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Completion of a certificate program can serve as a signal to prospective employers that you are a person with the drive and determination to excel. Not only will the course of study enhance your knowledge of criminal justice, but earning the certification also will distinguish you from others in your workplace or employment market. Students completing the onsite or online Criminal Justice certification can acquire a valuable competitive advantage in this field.

The Criminal Justice undergraduate certificate program is available online and at various locations in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio to students currently in Associate and Bachelor's programs, and also to students who are registered as unclassified. Degree-seeking students must earn at least nine of the 15 certificate credit hours at IWU. Unclassified students must complete all 15 credit hours through IWU to be eligible for the certificate.
