Choosing a college isn't just about where you'll spend four years. It's about who will help you get ready for what comes next. At Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), we care about how you grow in your studies, your career, your life, and your faith. And our support doesn't stop when you graduate.
The IWU Career Promise is one way we show it.
Sometimes finding the right job takes time. Say you're an eligible graduate of IWU's Marion campus. Six months after graduation, you don't have a professional job yet, and you haven't started grad school or joined the military. The IWU Career Promise gives you more education and career training at no extra tuition cost.
You'll pick one of two options:
Take up to six graduate credit hours in select IWU master's programs at no extra tuition cost. You'll need to meet admission and program requirements. It's a head start on a master's degree.
Complete two approved Talent Studio professional certificates at no extra tuition cost. You'll build job-ready skills and add new credentials to your résumé while you look for your next role.
Graduate from IWU’s Marion residential campus.
Finish with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Be six months past graduation without a professional job, grad school enrollment, or military service.
Complete your Handshake profile, including an updated resume, and document at least 10 applications for relevant professional jobs.
Attend at least one employer networking opportunity, such as a career fair, employer event, Cove visit, or industry experience offered by the Life Calling & Career office.
Meet all of IWU’s published requirements for applying, verifying your status, and choosing a program.
You must meet every requirement to participate. The IWU Career Promise covers tuition for approved courses or certificates. It does not guarantee a job, admission to grad school, or a spot in a specific course or certificate.
The job market will keep changing, and careers can take surprising turns. At IWU, you'll build skills that last: thinking critically, communicating well, leading with integrity, learning for life, and serving others.
The IWU Career Promise is one more way we stand behind you, wherever God leads you next.
