Rev. Dr. Yamil Acevedo serves as Executive Vice President of Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he provides strategic leadership for the seminary's academic programs, faculty, partnerships, and mission of preparing Christian leaders for effective ministry around the world. He earned a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University and brings more than two decades of experience spanning higher education, pastoral ministry, executive leadership, and cross-cultural engagement.

Before assuming his current role, Dr. Acevedo served as Director of Theological Programs in Spanish and later as Interim Executive Vice President, helping strengthen enrollment, expand ministry partnerships, and advance the seminary's strategic vision. A bilingual leader fluent in English and Spanish, he has served churches and organizations throughout North America, the Caribbean, and Latin America and is passionate about developing leaders who faithfully engage diverse cultures through the gospel.

Dr. Acevedo is also an accomplished scholar whose research focuses on intercultural studies, Latino identity, migration, and the global church. He is the author of Faithful Inheritances, which explores the relationship between Christian faith, culture, and belonging among second-generation Puerto Ricans. His work reflects a deep commitment to equipping pastors and Christian leaders to serve with theological depth, cultural intelligence, and Christ-centered compassion.
