Tony Blair

Tony Blair, M.A.Ed.

Director of Learning Experience Design, Office of Academic Innovation

Tony Blair serves as Director of Learning Experience Design in the Office of Academic Innovation at Indiana Wesleyan University. In this role, he leads the Learning Experience Design team as they partner with faculty to create engaging, high-quality online and hybrid learning experiences. His work focuses on course development strategy, instructional design, faculty collaboration, and the continuous improvement of processes that support teaching and learning. Tony is passionate about helping subject matter experts translate their expertise into meaningful learning experiences that support student success and advance the university's mission.

Since joining IWU in 2018, Tony has helped develop new approaches to course design that improve quality while significantly reducing development timelines. His work includes designing AI-enhanced course development processes that have reduced production timelines by nearly 50 percent while maintaining strong collaboration with faculty and high standards for quality. He and his team work closely with faculty, academic leaders, and administrators to create systems that make course development more efficient, effective, and sustainable. Tony holds a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University and brings experience from both K-12 and higher education to his leadership role at IWU.
