Department Chair and Assistant Professor
Dr. Theresa Henderson is an Assistant Professor and Department Chair for the Educational Technology and Learning Engineering and Online Teaching and Learning programs in the School of Integrated Learning and Development at Indiana Wesleyan University. For more than two decades, she has been engaged in K–12 online teaching and learning as an educator, administrator, researcher, and parent. Her work has focused on preparing educators for effective practice in online and technology-enhanced learning environments.
Dr. Henderson holds a Doctorate in Education in Instructional Technology and Leadership from Duquesne University. Her scholarly interests include online teaching and learning, educational technology and learning engineering, educator preparation, effective online instructional practices, and the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education. She also has a particular interest in supporting and mentoring student research at the master’s and doctoral levels.
