Tasha Bleistein serves as Director of the Future Learning Lab at Indiana Wesleyan University's National and Global division, where she helps build strategic vision and oversees her talented team that integrates emerging technologies into teaching and learning. Her work centers on course improvement at scale, faculty development in the ethical and effective use of AI, and accessible, student-centered design for adult learners.
Before joining Indiana Wesleyan, Dr. Bleistein spent more than a decade at Azusa Pacific University, where she was Professor and Director of the MA TESOL program and served as Interim Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has worked internationally throughout her career, teaching in China and Honduras. She has served as a U.S. Department of State English Language Specialist for Peru and Paraguay. She has also led federally funded projects in virtual exchange, MOOC development, and blended learning for faculty in Vietnam. Dr. Bleistein is the co-author of Teaching Speaking (TESOL International) and One-on-One Language Teaching and Learning (Palgrave Macmillan), and her recent co-authored writing on AI literacy in faculty development appeared in EDUCAUSE Review.
