Michael Li

Michael Li, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Engineering

With a multidisciplinary background in civil and mechanical engineering, Dr. Li's research focuses on advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and fluid–structure interaction (FSI), with applications ranging from hydraulic engineering and groundwater flow to ship hydrodynamics and biomedical engineering.

His academic experience includes three years conducting arteriovenous fistula hemodynamics research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and 11 years as an Associate Professor at Sichuan University.

As an educator, Dr. Li is committed to developing technically skilled engineers who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners while mentoring students to integrate their Christian faith with their professional calling.
