Melanie is in the process of completing a Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Louisville. Her dissertation focus is the perception of executive functions and its effects on self-care activities among individuals with major depressive disorder (MDD). Melanie hopes to contribute to the development of PMHN courses at IWU and continue a program of research that involves effects of executive functions in self-care and interventions to promote effective self-care for individuals with MDD.

Melanie is an Assistant Professor in Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Integrated Health, Graduate Nursing division.
