Haley Juber

Haley Juber

Assistant Professor; Doctor of Physical Therapy Director of Clinical Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

PT, DPT

Dr. Juber pursued her calling as a pediatric physical therapist following a career as a dental hygienist. The less-than-traditional route to physical therapy stemmed from her desire to advocate, care, and walk alongside patients and their caregivers, which prompted her to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Haley obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin.

Following graduation, Dr. Juber was blessed to enter the workforce as a physical therapist at the Turnstone Center for Adults and Children with Disabilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was there that her skills and heart for serving others collided in the perfect setting. Turnstone provided Dr. Juber the opportunity to work with children, adults, adaptive-sport athletes, and Paralympians on land and in the pool. It was during this time that she became a Certified Aquatic Physical Therapist through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Dr. Juber transitioned from full-time clinical practice to academia in 2021, when she became an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Indiana Wesleyan University. Looking for avenues to transition her clinical knowledge to the classroom, she completed her Certificate of Graduate Study in Clinical Anatomy from Hardin-Simmons University in 2022. Since then, she has continued to challenge herself to assess and refine her classroom skills, always keeping students' development at the forefront. As in the classroom, Dr. Juber is a lifelong learner, as evidenced by her transition from working in an outpatient facility to the neonatal intensive care unit and its associated follow-up clinic.

Just as she walks alongside patients and caregivers, Dr. Juber finds joy in building relationships with students in the classroom and as they take steps towards their dream jobs. As the Director of Clinical Education, it is the time spent building relationships with students that enables her to provide guidance and advocate for making a student's ideal clinical placements a reality.

Even during "out-of-office" hours, you are likely to find Dr. Juber enjoying the green spaces of campus or at the softball field supporting her husband, Kevin, who is an assistant coach with their two young daughters.
