Admission Requirements for Master of Divinity Online Program
In addition to the Application for Admission, students must meet the following requirements for admission into the Master of Divinity degree program:
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an institution accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
- A 2.5 minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) from the baccalaureate degree-granting institution at which a minimum of 30 credit hours was completed.
- An official transcript from the baccalaureate degree-granting institution at which a minimum of 30 credit hours was completed.
- Two references, including one from a pastor or denominational supervisor.
- A completed Ministry Context Form.
- A three-to-four page autobiography and statement of ministry purpose. The ministry purpose statement should reflect one’s sense of God’s direction in relation to Christian ministry or service.
- Unclassified admission may be granted to applicants who do not wish or plan to become candidates for the master’s degree from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University, or who do not meet the above requirements. Such applicants must complete the unclassified application form and submit a copy of a transcript showing the conferred undergraduate baccalaureate degree. A maximum of 18 credit hours can be earned as an unclassified student. Students wishing to change from unclassified to regular status must follow normal admission procedures and meet all stated admission requirements.
Residential RequirementThe Master of Divinity can be completed 100% online. Students may choose to take onsite or hybrid courses.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Degree requirements must be completed within 10 years of enrollment with a minimum grade of “C” in each course and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
