Please join us in celebrating Tony Rogatto, our youth worker for the month of December!
The summer before his senior year of high school, Tony’s youth pastor asked him to be a leader for their Jr. High mission trip. Tony decided to say “yes!” because then he would get to go to Cedar Point for free. He loved every minute that he led during the mission trip and for the next several weeks, he was constantly asked if he ever considered going into youth ministry. Tony tried his hardest to ignore what God was calling him to, yet told God that if he wanted Tony to go into full-time ministry that he would have to make it so very clear. Later that summer Tony attended a youth conference for high school students. During the last session, he described his encounter by saying, “I was so overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit that I broke down in tears because I knew that God was calling me to surrender and give my life to working with students,” Tony has now been in full-time vocational youth ministry for the past 7 years.
He has always enjoyed working with youth in some capacity and has many highlights from his experiences.
His favorite verse is Ephesians 3:16-19.
He enjoys running and going to the movies.
He cheers for the Oakland Raiders and enjoys watching the Office and SuperStore.
A fun fact about Tony is that he loves to vacuum.
