Please help us in welcoming our June Youth Worker….Brooke Spengler!
Brooke received her call to ministry while she was in her sophomore year at Indiana Wesleyan. God laid it on her heart that she wanted to work with teens, helping them understand Christ and the love and hope that He can give. She finds her call to ministry funny, as she never saw herself working with teens, now she is a fulltime youth ministry worker. She started volunteering in youth ministry while in college and has been employed by Youth For Christ as a Campus Life Director for 3 years.
- Her favorite bible passage is Mark 2:17 – “Healthy people don’t need a doctor – sick people do. I have come not to call those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
- Brooke loves to be outside – walks, bonfires, swimming, camping, etc.
- Friends is one of her favorite TV shows
- Favorite movie changes often, but she loves anything Disney
- Ohio State Football fan
One of her favorite things about working with teens/ Youth for Christ are the trips and events she gets to go to with her students. Whether that be a spring break trip to Florida, or a retreat to Ft. Wayne, she loves the freedom found on a trip away from the ‘normal’ everyday grind of life. She has seen God break down many walls during these times and it is through these trips that she has developed some lasting memories with some incredible teens.
Please help us in celebrating Brooke and all of her work with youth!
