  • Exceptional Needs Education (P-12)

The Exceptional Needs Education major is designed for people who want to create personal, individualized learning experiences that help every student grow and thrive. If you see the unique gifts that each person brings to the world, this major may be for you! Through a combination of in-depth coursework and rich field experiences, students in the Exceptional Needs Education program develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to lead educational teams for students with complex support needs. Most students in the Exceptional Needs Education major choose to prepare for licensure in both mild and intense interventions (P-12). If you want to break down barriers and help students discover the richness of who they are and all they bring to the world, we invite you to consider majoring in Exceptional Needs Education.
