The Indiana Wesleyan University Division of Music is partnering with the Choma Academy of Music to bring the gift of music to orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. Over the last several decades, this African country has been plagued by HIV/AIDS and has suffered an enormous loss of life and an increase in the population of orphans caused by this disease. Poetice International (www.poetice.org) has invited IWU to become musical ambassadors for Christ and help to give students training in the areas of performance, worship leading, music teaching, and conducting. Opportunities on these trips include teaching in the cities of Choma and Livingstone, visiting Victoria Falls, going on a "game drive," and interacting with the Zambian people.
