Evans Hall was the first of the “L” shaped residence halls to be built on campus in 1993. Evans is home to 206 women and shares a common lawn with its brother hall, Hodson. With two sand volleyball courts and a full-size lighted basketball court, the Evans/Hodson Lawn is alive with student activity and regularly hosts campus-wide programs and events. Since it is a traditional hall housing Freshmen through Seniors, Evans women benefit from the informal mentoring and peer support that can happen when students at every stage in their college experience share life and learning together.
Vision for Evans Hall:
"My hope for the women of Evans is that they would come to view IWU and Evans as a home away from home. I deeply believe in the power of community, and I hope Evans can be a place of rich relationships, in which women feel known, loved, and free to be the best versions of themselves."
Favorite IWU Tradition:
"Wildcat Week, more specifically the Bubble Tug of War, is an awesome way to start the year. The whole week is full of fun opportunities to build hall and unit pride, while getting to know people right out of the gate!"
