Indiana Wesleyan University knows that each of us has unique, God-given talents that will impact the world. Sometimes we just need to discover and tap into those gifts, but don't know where to start. That's where IWU steps in to help through an innovative life coaching system for our students on campus.
As one aspect of the life coaching process, individuals being coached can use several quantitative tools or take assessments to provide clarity around their human uniqueness. Coaches review the results during coaching sessions and help IWU students decide how to integrate this new information into their sense of life calling and development process.
We currently offer three options:
- The Intrinsic Motivation Assessment Guide & Evaluation (IMAGE) measures intrinsic spiritual motivations leading to service. Click on IMAGE to learn more about this tool.
- The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assesses psychological type. Click on MBTI to learn more about this tool.
- StrengthsQuest is a talent assessment that allows individuals to discover their top five themes of talent and learn to develop their strengths. Click on StrengthsQuest to learn more about this tool.
The IWU Life Coaching program assists students in discovering their unique, God-given design, developing a sense of life calling, and equipping them with fundamental life skills for future personal and professional development. Coaching enables students to gain a more holistic understanding of themselves and empowers them to make choices that align with their values, purpose, and strengths.
All IWU students have the opportunity to meet with a Life Coach at no cost to them, which includes four individual sessions averaging 45 minutes in length. Take advantage of this resource and schedule time to meet with one of our life coaches today.
