Grant County and Neighbor Promise

Through the Grant County and Neighbor Promise, IWU is proud to provide significant gift aid to eligible students from Grant County, Indiana.
How significant? A minimum of $10,000 a year.
If you are a high school student who lives in or attends high school in Grant County, Indiana, you have one more reason to picture yourself on the beautiful IWU-Marion campus as a Wildcat.
The Grant County and Neighbor Promise makes the cost of attending IWU more affordable for graduates of Grant County high schools who are entering IWU’s Marion campus as full-time and first-time incoming freshmen, including Grant County residents who graduate from a Christian school or homeschool.
Tuition at the Marion campus is 20% less than the average tuition for all Indiana Independent Colleges and 5% less than other regional Christian Colleges. The combination of the Grant County and Neighbor Promise, along with potential federal and state of Indiana aid opportunities, makes IWU an even more affordable option as students from across Grant County seek to earn their college degree.
Grant County and Neighbor Promise Details
- The Grant County and Neighbor Promise is for students enrolling at the IWU-Marion Campus*
- Students must be incoming, first-time freshman
- Students must be enrolled full-time
- Students must be Grant County Residents or graduates from a Grant County High School
- Students must file the FAFSA prior to April 15
- Students must meet established admissions criteria
Students meeting eligibility requirements will receive a minimum of $10,000 from IWU in the form of gift aid. Eligible students will be considered for all sources of gift aid they are eligible to receive from IWU as their aid offer is being calculated. Additional aid from IWU in the form of the Grant County and Neighbor Promise will be awarded if a student has not met or exceeded the $10,000 minimum of gift aid from IWU.
The scholarship is renewable based on scholarship criteria and the requirement of students maintaining full-time status and meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress.
*Scholarships and Grants are for IWU-Marion students meeting eligibility requirements. Programs or courses associated with IWU-National and Global that are located on the Marion campus or online are excluded from this gift aid.
