Outside Scholarships
An outside scholarship is any scholarship not awarded by the government or Indiana Wesleyan University. Students may find the following scholarship search tools useful in searching for additional financial assistance toward their IWU education. IWU does not endorse or partner with any of these entities; they are simply listed for your convenience and as options to consider. We encourage you to look for scholarship opportunities from all sources available to you:
- The College Board Scholarship Search - nearly $3 billion in available aid
- FastWeb - one of the oldest and most recognized free scholarship search databases
- ScholarshipExperts.com - has been helping parents and students find scholarships and free college money since 2001
- MyFreeDegree - database with billions of dollars of college scholarships and financial aid awards
- Sage Scholars Tuition Reward Program - a college saving plan that guarantees a minimum scholarship
Students are required to report any outside scholarships to the Financial Aid office. Please do so by submitting a copy of the announcement or check once received. Financial Aid will work to ensure that your financial aid package remains accurate and valid.
Beware of scholarship scams! Please be careful if any scholarship application asks for your Social Security number or requires any type of payment or personal financial information.
