Trip Description
Students will engage with Italian artwork, architecture, and sites from 400BC to modern era, from ancient Etruscan civilization to the Venice Biennale. Gaining knowledge of the stylistic differences and being able to identify the major differences will help students appreciate why and how art changes over time. It is an invaluable aid in working with restoration since one must know the different stylistic techniques that are integrated in each era of art to repaint/retouch it appropriately.
