"My four years at IWU flew by. They were filled with excellent professors, meaningful friendships, and an all-around excellent Christian college education.
As a double major in Economics and Mathematics Interdisciplinary, I had the opportunity to learn in two different, although connected, disciplines. I have enjoyed doing research in both math and economics and presenting my research at the math colloquiums, IWU Celebration of Scholarship, and conferences at other schools. Going to mathematics conferences with the Department in Indiana, Ohio, and DC was a lot of fun, and a good way of connecting with the broader math community.
My experience in the IWU Math Department will be incredibly helpful, as I will be starting a PhD program in economics at West Virginia University in August of 2015. After graduate school, I plan on being an economics professor. I eagerly anticipate teaching classes and conducting research in development economics."
