  • Multimedia Communication

Earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multimedia Communication from Indiana Wesleyan University and unleash your potential. The Multimedia Communication major addresses the changing nature of both media production and journalism and combines three former majors – Media Communication, Journalism, and Sports Media – into one program with five specializations.

We are living in a multimedia age where it is now commonplace for those entering into the fields of journalism, sports media and even traditional broadcasting to possess a wide variety of skills in writing, image making, audio and video production, as well as social media and web content creation. The Multimedia Communication major allows students to develop these skills and become very marketable upon graduation, all while learning how best to integrate faith into their work.

The Multimedia Communication major will be of interest to students wanting to pursue careers in a variety of fields, including journalism, broadcasting, media production, sports media, entertainment media, and church media. A major emphasis throughout the curriculum is purposed toward giving students hands-on experience so they are prepared for either broadcast or non-broadcast, corporate or non-profit career opportunities.

Faculty

Indiana Wesleyan University faculty have put their expertise into practice! You will learn from experts in the industry who have worked in local and national television, radio, print, and online media, and in corporate and nonprofit organizations.
Multimedia Communication faculty are committed to academic excellence and to helping you perfect your skills as an effective storyteller. Because IWU faculty have experience as working media professionals, they are experts at putting theory into practice.
