For 2005 IWU grad Katie Page, communication has mostly meant relationships in her line of work. While involved with the IWU cross-country and track team, Katie Page found her academic passion in communicating with others.
Graduating in 2005 with a degree in Communication Arts, with a theater emphasis- Page went to Los Angeles, California. Her semester abroad taught her some valuable lessons. Although she had always grown up with the idea of being an actress, the study abroad experience opened her eyes to something different. She now wanted to look into producing.
She worked behind the scenes of some major projects, including work on the “God Man” ministry video that was produced and dubbed over by 40 different languages.” She has had the opportunity to travel within the US and around Europe as well.
After LA she then has worked in Atlanta and Florida.
“At a time that was like unsure- it made me realize that I need to trust him.”
After working as several different occupations, Page feels like has found something that is truly in her calling.
“I started to feel like the Lord said it was time for me to go to LA, but we didn’t have the money. We (her and her husband) saw some really cool things happen.”
She has accumulated an impressive resume having worked for major companies like: 20th Century Fox, GRB Entertainment, NBC Universal, and several more. But getting these jobs were not easy to come by.
She contributed to the movie, “The Artist” and from there she was offered a job. Page is living proof that the Lord has a unique plan for everyone. Her next adventure has just begun!
