Congratulations to the two winners of $1000 checks for their 60 second business pitches!
Judges-Choice Winner: Dakota Jasay and Audience-Choice Winner: Jessie Dion
32 contestants pitched their ideas on Wednesday, March 28. Participants included both business and non-business students as well as community members. Those involved could not be more pleased with both the audience and participant turn out. Thank you to all participants for your business ideas. A special thank you to The Refinery, IWU Career Development, Andre Payne and his marketing ambassadors, Matt Voss, Lauren Dafoe and the marketing department, and many others that made this opportunity possible for our students and community! We appreciate all of your efforts.
Keep a look out for the Grand in Sixty event next spring to pitch your business idea!
Here is what entrepreneurship professor, Matt Voss, one of the organizers of Grand in Sixty has to say about the event and its success:
"I’m incredibly excited about the momentum we saw at our first Grand in 60 competition! Seeing so many students present their creative ideas made for an inspiring evening. I can’t wait to see our aspiring entrepreneurs on campus begin launching some of their ideas into new ventures.”
